I think I must have broken a few hundred mirrors if the way my luck is at the moment means anything.

If any of my LJ friends have sent an email to me on my private account and gotten no response, it's not because I'm ignoring you. My password won't work, the recovery questions don't match what I had set and it will apparently take between 24-48 hours for the recovery process to work. I'm guessing this has something to do with heartbleed. What it is is a giant pain in my arse. My cat broke my brand new Samsung Galaxy phone last night and now on top of that, I have no email. I may as well be on a deserted island.

To add insult to injury, my new modem was stolen last week and the one I'm using now is as dodgy as hell and I keep losing internet access. Because I use Word Online for my writing, I need internet access which is now constantly cutting out and disappearing for hours at a time. So I'm uncontactable out in the real world and I can't update any of my fics or continue with my extremely behind BB fic. FML! I'd get drunk but there's no alcohol in the house. Grrrrrr.

For those waiting on WIP updates, I'm truly sorry. I will post them the moment I can. That is, if I don't go find a liquor store and drink it!

I almost feel like I've been thrown back to my youth. No mobile phone, no email; it's bizarre. At least I have a very patchy internet connection so I'm able to get glimpses of the world outside my living room, lol.

Pixel is my little brat cat. She was on my bed playing with her toy mouse and threw it into the air and tried to do some sort of contortionist back flip to catch it and flipped herself clear off the bed knocking everything I had on the bedside table flying, including my phone which was charging. It ripped the charge cord out of the phone, and now I can't get it to charge so when it went flat, that was the end of the line for the phone. I'm hoping something was just knocked loose and it will be an easy fix, but with smartphones you never know.

This may be expensive but at least it's not as disgusting as when she decided that it was a good idea to jump up on the kitchen bench and vomit all over my nice swanky espresso machine...before I'd had my morning coffee.

She also has a habit of stealing my things. I've caught her many times running off with my knickers or a tube of lip balm in her mouth in an effort to get me to play. Her latest game though is to roll around in the bathtub with a bunch of her toys and empty toilet rolls. It doesn't even matter if it's still wet from my shower. She's very weird ;p

She's an endless source of entertainment, but also of destruction. She's just very lucky she's ridiculously cute!

Your cat is made of awesome ;) As you described her - she seems like a ferret with all that "what isn´t glued to the surface - will not live" behavior ;) It´s the same kind of thing that my dog does + she bites as well ;)

When I was reading your reply... believe me or not... I imagined Jared being Pixel (this puppy-clumsy-destructive attitude and Jensen being that wise and patient grumpy cat looking after Jared ;)

That stealing cracked me up :D But roll-bath is even better. She had to look debauched when she was rolling her ass all over wet bathtub ;) Pics or it didn´t happen :D

Btw I would love to read about Jared!king of destruction and Jensen!kitten´s supervisor ;) I would be lovely and you would be able to use your expensively collected experiences ;)

Now that would make some fine J2 crack, I may just do it when I get some time!

As soon as I have a stable enough connection that doesn't crash every few minutes, I'll try to post some pics of my hellspawn kitty. I may even try to get a little video of one of my fave things. She doesn't do it every time but she does most of the time; if I say "Go floppy" or call her Mrs Flopalopagus, she does this dramatic flop down to get her belly rubbed. She also comes to me if I click my fingers - it's how I call her to feed her or to get her to come inside. All of the locals in my street stop to pet her in the street outside my building because she's an absolute cuddle slut, and now some of them have figured out she'll go straight to them if they click their fingers. It's hilarious to watch out the window. And most mornings I hear the neighbourhood kids on their way to daycare calling out, "Pixel, come and play". She's kind of a street mascot :D

YES to both !!! That J2 crack would be lovely ;) But please please post some pics of her ;) I would love to see her in "steal and run" or "belly-rub on demand" moods :D You had to train her well because my SO has a cat and he tried to teach her some tricks but she had other ideas :D She watches documents about birds when it´s on TV, and she can open a door to kitchen by hanging on the door handle BUT they couldn´t manage to catch it on photo because "she knows we are filming" :D :D :D so she just sits on her spot and stares at us :D

I was having trouble with LJ this week too, not able to access my e-mail or post comments. Someone told me to switch browsers, and that worked, using firefox now.

Thanks :) Luckily the only thing that does seem to work, when my internet connection holds, are the browsers. Both of my email accounts are Outlook so Microsoft must have had problems. I don't know if they had problems with IE because I haven't used that in years. It's incredibly annoying to have both email accounts fail at once, and for the process to have them fixed be so long and drawn out.

Try not to do a Cas and drink a whole liquor store!! Technology is great when it works but incredibly frustrating when it doesn't! LJ has been playing up for a couple of days too. I hope things get resolved soon. :)

I'm not sure I could even drink a whole bottle let alone a liquor store. I'm a lightweight ;) the whole thing is driving me nuts. Moreso that I can't write. after this I'm buying Microsoft Office. Word online is really good but only as long as you have a stable internet connection. I got so fed up with losing the last paragraph I'd written over and over again, I gave up.

I sympathize with everything going wrong at once, and I'm pushing all the well-wishes through the modem at you. I hope at least some get through. And don't get eaten or otherwise destroyed, delayed, or deflected by your destructo-kitty!

I got some significant work on BB done day before yesterday, left the doc open to poke at it before bed, fell asleep on the sofa and woke up enough to shut down. Clicked on the wrong thing, and lost every word I'd written that day. Pelting now to make deadline. But I was so sick (at heart and to my stomach) yesterday I just couldn't face it. Another day lost. But I persevere. You should too. May all possible best coincidence and intentions line up in your favor from here!

Oh my God! I can't believe you lost all of that! that's awful!! I just kept losing the same paragraph over and over so decided it wasn't worth the hair pulling stress. As it is, this is my third attempt at answering comments because my connection keeps crashing.

I highly doubt my big bang fic will see the light of day in time. I'm so far behind it's beyond ridiculous and I don't want to cobble it together right at the last minute and then hate what I wrote. I guess there's always next year. I wish they were held more than once a year :(

You still have till Thursday midnight. And all you need is 20K of *draft*. Honestly, I've turned in barely 20K and a very sketchy draft--man, Angstpuppy made me the most spot-on playlist and cover last year from my really terribly swiss-cheese draft. And every year I've done BB, I've posted at least twice 20K, done between the draft and post date. You can also ask for a later post date if you think you'd need one.

If you want to do this year's BB, and you have *anything* down right now, put everything else on hold and just write your draft. That's all it has to be, 20K, with a beginning, middle, and end. I say "an" end, because two of the drafts I turned in, I knew the end wasn't the end it would have when I finished. They just want to know you have a story.

If you don't make word count by midnight May 1, you can always post it on your on LJ. But I say go for it. You've really got nothing to lose!

I literally only have 9,000 words done so far. I doubt the story would even make sense in under 30,000 but I'll see if I can at least put enough together to make the draft deadline even if it's so rough it might not make much sense. There would be enough for an artist to make sense of because although the story itself needs fleshing out and a lot more detail, it is an incredibly simple story and premise. It's the details I'm stuck on.

If I get enough done to make the draft deadline I'll contact Wendy and let her know I need the latest date possible. Mainly because of my health. Being sick all the time is not very conducive to productivity I'm afraid, I can go many days at a time barely able to get out of bed!
