Damn, I hate the sound of my voice, my accent is cringeworthy, but the meme is fun! It's nice to put voices to the names. At least I'm not the only one who has done this who has an Aussie accent - hi ash48 *waves*

That's odd, I just clicked on it and it opened and started playback automatically. I just tried opening it with both Firefox and Google Chrome and it opened with both. I've just added another link, hopefully that'll work. Can you let me know if you still can't open it?

It works fine in Firefox. I was trying to use IE11 with no luck.

Very much enjoyed your recording. Especially loved your answer to the shapeshifter question. Wanting to be the Impala so that Sam and Dean will be inside you is awesome and not kinky at all.... well maybe just a little... :-)

Loved your recording! I can't believe you said you'd shapeshift into the Impala, oh my god! hahahah
I'm really surprised you only found out about fanfiction when it was mentioned on the show. I found out about fanfic pretty early on, I think by searching for 'Buffy Angel stories' or something. But I suppose it's not really something that occurs to a normal TV viewer--that there are people writing thousands of stories about this show for free.

Aw thanks, what can I say, I'm a dirty, dirty girl, lol. You know, all those years I could've been reading and writing fan fic and I was completely clueless. It never occurred to me that there would be people writing fiction about TV characters, let alone shipping them! What a sheltered life I've lead :)

I think your voice would be great for podfics. If you spend a lot of time reading (and to able to out much) it would be such a fun thing to do (I'd listen!).

And if you think Sydney is an expensive place to live...man, you should try Perth. It's absolutely criminal.

My Impala fantasy seems to have hit people's funny bones, lol. I'm twisted, what can I say.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to give podficcing a go, I just have to make sure I close the windows when I record haha. The street noise here can be atrocious, the joys of inner city living.

Sydney has gotten ridiculous with cost of living, so much so that I may not be able to stay here for much longer. I live in what equates to a shoe box and my friends in Melbourne paid the same rent for a three bedroom house with a studio out back. I'm kinda freaking out at the moment because my rent just went up and it's now officially more money than I bring in. I can't even move anyone in here to share because I can barely fit in here and I'm kind of small.

I've only been to Perth once but I loved it. such a pity it's so isolated or I'd live there in a heartbeat.

Definitely give me a heads up if you're coming my way, I'd love to meet up!!

So great to hear you! I loved your answers (The Impala! Great answer!), but mostly just really loved listening to your accent, and how much expression your voice has.

Heh--I can't fathom *not* knowing about fic! Having rattled around serial fandoms--and having written fic myself since about age 10, fic, meta discussion, art, and more lately, vids, seem to have been almost more important than the source material, in many cases. Especially the shows that ran 12 episodes...ten--or forty!--years ago, and still have fic written about them! In any case, we're lucky you did discover fic, and we're glad you're writing in *this* fandom!

I hate listening to my accent after hearing people from places like America and France because they sound so melodious. I think the Australian accent can sound quite harsh. At least I don't have the really full on Aussie accent which can be very jarring. I don't even know if I slipped any local colloquialisms into my speech as I was talking, I'll have to give it a listen again. It's hard to remember sometimes, that some of our slang wouldn't make any sense to people that aren't from here. I'm very aware of it when I'm writing but no so much when I'm jabbering away. Years ago I had an American boyfriend and I had to keep translating for him, ha! We're used to Americanisms because 90 per cent of our TV shows are American. My fave thing with him though, was the fact that when it came to beer I could out-drink him. Our beer is so much stronger than yours so he was drunk off his ass on two which shocked the hell out of him :)

I was a fanfic virgin until last year! I'm still amazed that it exists. None of my friends knew about it either. But then, only a very small handful know that I write it and only one has ever read any of mine. I can't even tempt my best friend into reading any, I've tried! I don't know if it's a case of 'fanfic = lame' or if they are pretty certain my writing will suck and they don't want to have to tell me that, lol.

Ha ha, you are a kinky bitch, that was a great choice to be the Impala!! I know exactly how you felt when you discovered fandom, I had no idea it was so vast and would become my obsession! There just aren't enough hours in the day sometimes! I love your 'delicious' page and have read several fics from that now, so thanks for sharing. Your voice is lovely by the way, not 'harsh' at all. I don't think anyone likes the sound of their own voice! It was great listening to you, it's weird to think us fans are all over the world but linked by a TV show!

Fandom is kind of a freak out! Isn't it great that we get to (virtually) meet so many people just because of a mutual love of a show? It still amazes me!
