I'm so sad that you had to go through (and probably continue to go through) something so unspeakably awful. I will be addressing that very issue further into the story. I don't want you to think that will be the last that is said on the topic of reporting it. The reason I've written that Jared didn't report it was to highlight the fact that it happens so often that way because of misplaced shame from the victims/survivors. It's hideous that we live in a world where a victim of such a heinous act can feel somehow to blame or feel shame for something that was forced upon them. It pains me deeply to know that you feel guilt for further victims of your attacker when the guilt lies wholly and solely with the perpetrator. Sometimes we do the only things we can do to survive and it doesn't make you a bad person, it just makes you human.
